Painting With Paint Tool Sai by suicidevegie Painting With Paint Tool Sai by suicidevegie
Okay so first off, I'm VERY sorry that I am horrible at explaining. I tried my best though. I've just never been very good with words.

So I decided for my sake I should write down my methods for painting because I'm so forgetful, but then I decided I could make it a tutorial for everyone!

This is a VERY basic tutorial on painting and color choosing. It's mostly tips if anything, and definitely not the only or best way to do these things. I think I will make a couple more about painting hair, skin, clothes and backgrounds to give more details.

Please let me know if this has helped you in any way or if you don't understand something! (also tell me about any typos... I'm sure I missed a ton)

Edit (8/30/2012): Thank you for all the unending support on this tutorial! I hope to continue making more of them when I have the time.

Edit (7/6/2013): WOW! Thank you so much for the DD!! I could never have dreamed that this would happen in all my 10+ years here. I'm truly thrilled and thankful, and so inspired to make more beginner tutorials for you guys. Honestly, I've been so disillusioned with my art lately, and this really makes me want to get back on the saddle and actually complete some pieces!

My results didn't come out quite like what's shown, but I also had no idea how the color mixer worked before seeing this, so thank you! This is very helpful

ya know ive allways plotted around in the same way thinking i was doing something , but thats actually a good step method. I like that structured principle,,and no black..ive heard that alotfrom actual professional traditional artists as well.
